Help the project reach as many people as we can.

Here are a couple of ways to contribute to the project:

Donate

With your help, we can offer more Ribbon Skirt kits to more people in need of them. While the first 100 kits in this project will be fully funded through MNBC, we want to keep the giving going.

By donating, you can enable the project to provide “sliding-scale” pricing to allow those with limited funds to also purchase a skirt, if there are no fully-funded kits available. By purchasing a Ribbon Skirt Kit at full price you can contribute part of those funds towards another kit for someone in need of one.

By making a donation, great or small, of any kind, you can help me to distribute more materials, classes and kits to those in our community who would benefit the most from making a community connection, learning about their culture and helping to reclaim their own identities.

“Share a Skirt” program - Donate your sewing time!

For those who would like to donate their time in sewing a skirt, there are members of our community who cannot sew their own, but still would benefit from having a Ribbon Skirt of their own. I am compiling a list of Individuals who have the time and the knowhow to put together ribbon skirts and pair them with a kit and an elder, differently-abled or isolated member of our community to get them a finished ribbon skirt. I will posts availability of free kits as I am able to put them together and get them funded, and with a maker who has the time to work on a skirt for them.
